It was a cold rainy day in May at Fenway Park. Brad bought tickets for Memorial Day weekend to watch Chris Sale pitch. We got to Boston a little early and after getting lunch at Wahlburgers and walking around for a bit we went to our third base line seats. The alumni game was just wrapping up and people were starting to leave as the field was getting prepped for the start of the game. Brad ran to the bathroom and little did I know it was to take the ring out of the ziplock bag he had it in in his pocket. He put it on his pinky and came back to our seats. After a few minutes of silence he started to stand up and gave me this smile and look like he knew what was about to happen and he was excited and nervous and couldnt wait. I said are you really going to get food already and he said no I have a question for you and got down on one knee. It took me a second but once I realized what he was doing I told him to shutup and started laughing. Poor guy is down on one knee in tears and im laughing! All he said was Jenee I love you will you marry me. I dont quite remember saying yes but I did! He hugged me fighting back tears and I was still nervously laughing. He couldnt have planned it better! At my favoite venue watching my favorite team but he did it in a way where it was personal with no one around. I didnt watch much of the game after that. Everytime I looked at him I laughed and he teared up for the rest of the day.
