Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), Sabana Berde, Oranjestad, Aruba
Queen Beatrix International Airport, is a small international airport located in Oranjestad, in the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba. It is a short 15 minute ride to the Divi Phoenix and Palm Beach. ARRIVING is easy - hop of the plane, go through customs, grab your bags, have them scanned and hitch a ride. When DEPARTING, please be advised you MUST be to the airport 3 HOURS PRIOR to your departing flight. Dress accordingly and bring water! Leaving AUA is quite the to-do. Steps are below for your quick reference: 1. Make sure to go into the building all the way to the right when you arrive in the departure area to check your luggage and get your boarding pass. 2. Next is a line outside under a tent (usually long so dress accordingly). They have water misters for your comfort. At the front of this line, you need to dispose of your water, show your passport and head into another building (with AC!) where you scan your passport and take a photo. 4. You will then be directed to a huge room to locate your checked bags (bags are grouped by airline and flight #) 6. Exit that room and wait on the line for Customs 7. You will be directed to the luggage conveyor belts. Place your checked bags on the belt for your respective airline. 8. Go through another security checkpoint 9. Go up the escalators, pass by the shops and eateries (or stop and shop) and proceed to the end of the hallway through your last security checkpoint 10. Head to your gate 11. While you're waiting, have an Aruba Ariba and plan your next trip!524 2424
